aBOUT Portillo
- Timeless Alpine Heritage – Portillo is one of Chile’s oldest and most iconic ski resorts, nestled high in the Andes beside the emerald waters of the Laguna del Inca. Its storied history and classic hotel culture give it a unique character unmatched by most modern resorts.
- Technical Terrain – With 1,235 acres of skiable terrain, steep bowls and natural couloirs, Portillo offers challenging terrain that pushes technique and commitment.
- Quiet, Focused Training Environment– Compared to larger, busier resorts, Portillo’s compact area and lower skier density create a calmer, more focused atmosphere. Long groomed runs and consistent snow under stable weather make it ideal for concentrated, high-quality training.
- All-Inclusive Simplicity and Community Feel – Lodging, meals, lift tickets and most resort services are bundled — promoting a strong social vibe and making logistics easy. The resort’s small size fosters connection: among athletes, coaches and fellow skiers.
